Today, I will be sharing one basic rule of investing. This rule, in plain language, can be called as "Financial planning".

Planning is the process of thinking about the activities required to achieve the desired goal. Your goals could be anything, literally anything (do not let the world tell you, your dreams and aspirations). It could be something simple like a big-screen television set or buying a new four-wheel vehicle, or something heavy-duty like buying a home, your child's education, or something entirely different that is dear to you.

These financial goals have been complicated by our society for many years by imposing complex financial factoid, but it's fairly easy to define once you have a number labeled over it. For eg: Rs. 30,000 for a tv set, or Rs. 5 lakh for a brand new car. Once you have your numbers, you can start planning for them right from day-1.

Of course, the obvious route for saving (that hasn't changed over the years) would be to save every penny you earn in monthly wages and realize those goals/dreams.
